Marshall “Soulful” Jones is a poet, songwriter, singer and author. He found his voice at the world famous Nuyorican Poet’s Café and since then has opened shows for music artists Jordin Sparks, Musiq Soulchild, Kem, and Raheem DeVaughn. Marshall conducts workshops with youth and adults and regularly performs at colleges and universities. He has also produced/written music for himself and others including HBO Def Jam Poets Shanelle Gabriel and Oveous Maximus.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
